Alongside his work as a performer and recording artist, Oldenburger has built an extensive career as a music educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience. He has taught guitar and music to students of diverse ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, helping aspiring musicians develop technical proficiency, creativity, and confidence. 

His teaching philosophy is centered on the belief that learning music should be engaging and enjoyable, emphasizing the importance of having fun while building strong musical foundations. By combining practical skills with creativity and personal expression, he encourages students to discover their own musical voice while developing the discipline necessary for long-term growth and enjoyment of music.

Ry teaches guitar lessons in person in the NOrth-east Los angeles area, as well as globally over zoom.
